The Embassy of Italy, Jakarta and the Italian Cultural Institute, Jakarta proudly present the concert of Serena Brancale Quartet on 22nd May 2017 at 20.00 at the Gedung Kesenian Jakarta. The Quartet consists of Serena Brancale (vocal), Dario Panza (drum), Alfonso Deidda (saxophone), and Daniele Sorrentino (bass). The day before, on 21st May 2017 a Jam Session with the Quartet and Indonesian musicians is organized within the premises of the Institute.
For most people, music of quality is limited to a specific musical genre, but for Serena Brancale music represents a “melting pot” of various genres, sounds and ideas. Thanks to this view, her area of expertise goes from jazz and soul to funk and R&B, it also includes ballads and author songs and it does not leave out the modern electronic sounds, as they produce intense moments of inspiration (to her). Her vocal adaptability and her timbre similar to that of “African American” singers, together with her willingness to seek a wider vision of music, allow her to remove the limitations of different musical genres.
After Serena Brancale performed as "special guest" with super star band Il Volo, she released her first album “Galleggiare” and partecipated at Sanremo Festival, the most popular Italian song contest and awards, with the title song “Galleggiare” in 2015. While pursuing her own carrier, this year is scheduled the new CD release, Serena Brancale did a tour this spring with Mario Biondi.
